What you can do

SYNFS organizes shared datastores on iSCSI or Fibre Channel LUNs, with coordinated access across hosts.

LUN identity and access paths per host

Shared datastore based on GFS2 and DLM

Locking and fencing readiness checks

How it works

Integrate shared SAN storage.

Resources
  1. Verify that hosts see the same LUN and its paths.

  2. Check membership, locking and fencing requirements.

  3. Initialize the datastore only when readiness checks allow it.

Deployment considerations

Availability depends on the release, array capabilities and host validation. Fibre Channel requires HBA and fabric validation; the reference documentation retains pending lab tests. Confirm the deployment before production use.
